Overview

Radar detectors and laser detectors are illegal to use in Prince Edward Island. Heck, it's a small province anyway, so speeding won't save you much time. No photo radar or laser in use yet on PEI.

Please CONTACT US if the information on this page is no longer accurate, and you want to suggest adding or removing noted speed traps in your area or where you have recently traveled.

Trans-Canada Highway #1

Borden
Notorious speed trap. The town police use a Jeep Cherokee as a police vehicle, and are usually set up just after you enter the town from the car ferry. Favorite sites are near the fire hall, or just opposite the weigh scales. Since the town boundaries expanded, they also use the western town boundary, near the McCain plant.
