Priddis is a small town at the intersection of highway 22X (east-west) and 22 (south). It includes the hamlet of Red Deer Lake and lies just south of the Southwest Ring Road (Stoney Trail) around Calgary, and is the gateway to the Cowboy Trail (Highway 22 South)
Annual events include the Priddis-Millarville Country Fair (mid August)

This facility hosts severally internationally important equestrian show jumping events. Spruce Meadows also features world-class training and breeding facilities. Admission free on non-event days.

The Rothney Astrophysical Observatory is an astronomical observatory located near the hamlet of Priddis, Alberta, Canada, about 25 kilometres southwest of Calgary. The observatory is owned and operated by the University of Calgary, and was dedicated in 1972.
