Rossland is located in the beautiful Kootenay Rockies Region of British Columbia and located on the Powder Highway. Rossland is in the Monashee Mountains, immediately east of the intersections of BC highways 3B and 22.

The community is best-known as home of Red Mountain Resort and Big Red Cats, the world’s largest cat skiing operation. The facilities provide a winter base for the nearby multi-peak ski hills of the Red Mountain Resort, which is also popular with summer mountain bikers.
