The Okanagan area has almost 80 different wineries (up from 36 in 1999), reflecting its warm and sunny climate. These wineries are also listed in each community. Nearly all have wine shops and expect visitors (but there are some exceptions) but some are seasonal or have limited hours, so we recommend you contact them before dropping in. If you taste their wines and find some you like, it is good karma to purchase some to support their endeavors.
Visitors planning travel to the Okanagan can use the Accommodation search feature using the pull-down list at the top of the page, to view hotels, motels, and bed & breakfast accommodation closest to your favourite winery!

In early 1983 when founder Adolf Kruger purchased a barren piece of land east of Okanagan Falls, which was home to a large flock of Canada geese feeding in amongst the tumbleweeds, boulders, and rubble. Wild Goose was established in June 1990 when the first production of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Marechal Foch hit the marketplace. Over the years Wild Goose would establish itself as one of the premium small producers of VQA wines in British Columbia.
