Sorrento Centre
Sorrento small town of 5000 residents swells to a summer population of 9,000 (including adjoining Blind Bay). The town has many hotels, motels and campgrounds because of its prime location on the western end of Shuswap Lake. The town was originally named Trapper’s landing but was renamed by an early settler, JR Kinghorn for the location of his honeymoon in Italy. The town’s highlights include 80 year old (and recently restored) St Mary’s Anglican Church, and the ferry wharf on Caen Rd. For information call 250-675-2420.

The town has an 18 hole golf course, and access to all the other recreation along Shuswap Lake.
