Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation is located near Elphinstone, Manitoba on (IR) 61 which is located south of Riding Mountain National Park.
The main reserve is surrounded by territory of the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead, in whose northeastern portion it lies. The Keeseekoowenin band after a 1994 landclaim settlement returned the IR 61A located on the boundaries of the National Park. There is also a third and smaller reserve known as IR 61B. This reserve is located on Battle Lake. The group takes their name from Keeseekoowenin, who was Chief when they moved to the reserve in 1875.
