Be the first to review

The Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is a First Nations band government or “band”, part of the Cree ethnic group, a member of the Western Cree Tribal Council, and a party to Treaty 8. The band controls three Indian Reserves, the large Sturgeon Lake 154 and the smaller 154A and 154B.

Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. We must protect the rights of our people according to the treaty, while ensuring a vibrant and resilient community. Our success as a Nation is due to our culture, language and by working together we will overcome our challenges much more efficiently in a constantly changing environment.
