This ranch commemorates the history of cattle ranching in Canada. This ranch was once home to The Sundance Kid, the famous American bank robber (and partner to Butch Cassady) and also John Ware, Alberta’s first black cowboy. The ranch next door is the EP ranch, named for its former owner, Edward, the Prince of Wales. Bar U offers guided site tours, interpretive displays, a blacksmith’s shop, and a theatre in the Visitor Centre. The Ranch also has complete conference, banquet, and dining facilities at The Roadhouse. Open from mid-May, daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission fee.
