Abbotsford
The main business district of Abbotsford is centered is just south of Essendene (which turns into Old Yale Rd to the east and South Fraser Way to the west) between South Railway and South Fraser Way. This area is also host to the region’s biggest street fair, the Berry Festival held early each July.
There is also plenty of shopping along the east-west South Fraser Way/Old Yale Road, including both several malls and a number of smaller shops and services.
Chilliwack
Chilliwack has a number of shopping areas and malls, centered primarily around Sardis & Vedder
You’ll find a lot of what you might need at the two largest of Chilliwack’s 14 or so malls. Cottonwood Mall and Chilliwack mall together encompass around 100 retail outlets of diverse size. Zellers, Sears, and London Drugs, anchor Cottonwood Mall, while Wal-Mart and Safeway underpin Chilliwack mall. Nearby, are the large stand-alone operations of Canadian tire and the Real Canadian superstore.
Specialty stores can be found in the downtown core or along either Vedder Road and Luckakuck Way in Sardis or around Yale & Wellington in Chilliwack.
Hope
Shopping in Hope is concentrated along Water Street (the Transportation-Canada Highway route through town) and Wallace Street, which bisects the town. Wallace has most of the shops and services of interest to residents.
Mission
There are three main shopping areas in Mission: Downtown, Lougheed Highway, and Mission Plaza.
The downtown core along first Ave & North Railway Ave has an abundance of independent retail stores, restaurants, and services, with a heritage walk for speciality stores featuring antiques and collectibles. West of downtown along the Lougheed Highway are a number of shopping plazas, fast food restaurants, and retail chain stores. The Mission Plaza area, between the railway tracks and the Fraser River waterfront, was the original Mission town centre, and is beginning a redevelopment plan.
