Meadow Lake has about 5500 residents. The town of Meadow Lake is located on the actual lake’s (with the same name) western shore. The main industry is agriculture with an abundance of grain elevators and crop yields. While the immediate land within the area is suitable for grain and cattle production, the surrounding areas are up to 800 feet higher and covered in mixed-wood forests that supply the local forestry industries.
The sport facilities within the community include skating and curling rinks, 18-hole grass-green golf course, tennis courts, 5 ball diamonds, an indoor swimming pool, race track, stampede grounds,gun range, regional park, five municipal parks and a soccer field.

The facilities your able to tour include the Millar Western Pulp Mill, Groots Honey Farm, Grain Elevators, Meadow Lake Museum and the North Saskatchewan Saw Mill. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., call in advance for booking.
