This town lies at the east end of scenic highway 247, which arcs northwest past Crooked Lake and Round Lake, and then south to Highway 1, about 49 km west of town (at Grenfell).

Old George’s Hidden Village Collectibles and Chopping Museum

This 20-room brick dwelling house was built in 1985 by B. Limoges, an aristocratic French merchant on a 12 acre estate. It houses 20,000 collectibles items including antique bottles, clocks, crocks, Indian artifacts, jugs, oil lamps, and spinning wheels. Another ten rooms house the gift shop, and a tea room. Open daily 8 am – 8 pm from May – October (rest of year, by appointment). Admission.

Whitewood Historical Museum

Three buildings house various artifacts, photos, clothing and utensils from the pioneer days. The museum also has a bandshell. Open Tuesday & Wednesday 1 pm – 8 pm, Thursday – Monday 1 pm to 8 pm. Admission.
