J. Frank Gaudet Tree Nursery is the Island’s largest nursery facility with 5,900 square meters of heated and some unheated greenhouse. The average annual production is 3 million tree seedlings representing 13 softwood and 6 hardwood species.

Take a guided tour of the Hatchery and the Water Recirculation facility, including a scenic nature trail, daily programming, and children’s science camps throughout the summer months. Also, visit the Cardigan U-Fish located on the property (open Apr 1-Nov 15). Open year round, daily. Call ahead for off-season scheduling. Programming costs vary depending on content.
